Dianne Lynn Musselman

Dianne Lynn Musselman, 74, of Kalamazoo, MI met the Lord on Independence Day, July 4, 2024. She was born in Manistique, Michigan, a Yooper at heart, on May 18, 1950.

Dianne graduated from High School and married her first husband, Michael Myrick, who preceded her in death in 2018. During this time, Dianne sought her associates degree from Kalamazoo Valley Community College and became an RN. With this license, she went on to manage medication at the Kalamazoo Psychiatric Hospital, being employed there for over 30 years. She met her second husband, Walter Whitlock, with whom she has shared more than 20 years of marriage. 

Dianne was a sassy thing, her mantra being “I’m the queen,” and the queen she was. Crochet, coloring, cooking and a good movie were some of her favorite things. Perhaps her number one love in life, though, was her cat, Boo. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, Leo and Marion (Brawley) Musselman; brother, Larry Musselman; and son-in-law, Travis Austin.

She is survived by her loving family: husband, Walter Whitlock; son, Grant Myrick; daughter, Cristi (Topher) Weddington-Myrick; granddaughters: Megan Myrick, Shannon Hansford, and Rachel (Steven) Whitehead; grandson, Devon Schnyders; great-grandsons, Cason and Alex; and sister, Lorna (Tom) Lockton.

In accordance with her wishes, cremation will take place and no formal services will be held.
