Diane Leona Stephenson

August 7, 1947 — June 30, 2019

Was called home to be with the Lord on Sunday, June 30, 2019 at Bronson Methodist Hospital ICU. He gained another special angel.

Diane was born August 7, 1947 in Battle Creek to Harold Willard Stephenson and Pauline Ruth (Skidmore) Stephenson; both preceded her in death. She graduated from Climax-Scotts High School in 1965.

Diane was a devoted mother to her son, Todd Stephenson. Later when he married; a grandmother to Marty.

Diane worked and retired from Western Michigan University in the Biological Science Department (2006) after 41 years. She was the Administrative Assistant and worked under many different Chairs in the main office. She was respected for her excellent bookkeeping and hiring of students who worked with her.

She is survived by her siblings, Maralita (Allen) Thomas, Dwight "Pete" (Nancy) Stephenson; nieces and nephews, Renae (David) (Thomas) Hatton, Jerry (Kim) Thomas, Mandy Stephenson, Chad (Brennan) Stephenson; great nieces and nephews, Justine and Jacob Thomas, Collin Hatton, and Trinity Metzler.

Her special friends, Pat Harmon, Kathy Onderlinde, Norma Hayes, Anne Hopkins, Barb Peacock, Chris and Celene Jackson, and Wayne and Angie Hill.

Per her request there will be no visitation or services. A private family burial will be held later this month at Boughton Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the St. Jude Children's Hospital Cancer Research.
