Diana Lynn Sanders

Diana Lynn Sanders, age 75, passed away Tuesday, December 12, 2023. She was born in Grand Rapids, MI on November 17, 1948, to the late Carl Edward and Mary Lucille (Alderson) Grupe. Diana was an artist, she enjoyed painting, drawing and doing a variety of crafts. She was also very interested in unipegs, which is a unicorn and Pegasus combined.

Diana is survived by her two sons, Mike (Jacquie) Thornton and Tim (Victoria) Thornton; 7 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren; one brother, Robert Groupe. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Harvey Thornton; second husband, Oscar “Frank” Sanders; granddaughter, Megan Lewis; and two brothers, Terry Grupe and Leonard Grupe.

The family will receive friends on Monday, December 18, 2023, from 11:00 am until 12 pm when a funeral service will take place at Langeland Family Funeral Homes Burial & Cremation Services 411 E Centre Ave. Portage, MI 49002. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions to the Kalamazoo Humane Society, in memory of Diana Sanders.
