Andrews, Dexter David "Bill Anthony" of Kalamazoo, MI. Passed away Friday, September 14, 2012 at Borgess Hospital. Age 61 years. He was born on April 14, 1951 in Lakeview, MI, the son of the late Dale and Bertha Jacobson Andrews. He received his Associates Degree in Broadcasting from the Career Academy of Broadcasting in 1970. His broadcasting career took him to many cities such as Ft Wayne, IN., Rochester, NY, Allentown, PA, closer to home Big Rapids, Otsego, and of course Kalamazoo. Radio also brought him MANY life long friends that he loved and cherished. Most recently he was working at Lakeside Academy as a Youth Counselor, a job he truly loved. He was a member of the Kalamazoo Rod and Gun Club and the National Rifle Association. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was married to Linda Thayer Andrews on June 19, 1976; she survives him. Surviving besides his wife are two daughters, Lisa Jeff Rhoades of Marcellus and Kristen Michael Capelli of Parchment; two grandchildren, Sierra Lynn and Elijah Dexter; one brother, Durwood Susie Andrews of White Cloud; four sisters, Dalela Robert Tiedeman of Las Vegas, NV, Deah Robert Cole of Hudsonville, Delphine Kevin DeFever of Big Rapids and DaNora Michael Stratz of Big Rapids; his aunt, Liz Duffy; many nieces, nephews and cousins; and his BFF, Harley Dog. Friends may visit with the family from 12:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 22, 2012 at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 622 S. Burdick St., where a memorial service will follow at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. Pastor Dave Breen will officiate. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established at PNC Bank.
