Dennis D. Crawford

Dennis Crawford, age 67 of Kalamazoo, died on December 13, 2023. He was born on May 18, 1956, in Kalamazoo, the son of Kenneth and Doris (Hunt) Crawford. He was a 1975 graduate of Schoolcraft High School. Denny worked on the family farm for several years. He also worked in asphalt, carpet laying, and at Serv Pro. He enjoyed working alongside his nephew installing hospital rooms as well.

Denny loved his many friends and family. He was a kind and generous man, who would give you the shirt off his back if you needed it. Denny loved the Detroit Lions. He loved being outside, especially deer hunting, mushroom hunting or traveling to the Upper Peninsula.

His family includes his son, Kenneth (Peggy Fhen) Crawford; his grandchildren: Brittney, Jacob and Abbey; his brother, John (Ulrike) Crawford; his sisters: Brenda Poulsen (Dave Barclay), Paula (Rusty) Tinsman, and LaVonda (Kenny) Stokes; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ken & Doris Crawford. The family would like to thank a special nephew Chad Poulsen that was there for him whenever he needed him.

Friends may visit with Denny’s family on Wednesday, December 20^th, 2023, from 10:00-11:00 AM at Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Burial & Cremation Services, 3926 South 9th Street, Kalamazoo, MI 49009, where a funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM with Rev. Jim Dyke officiating. Interment will follow at Schoolcraft Cemetery with a luncheon following at Schoolcraft Eagles Lodge. Donations in memory of Denny may be made to Gentiva Hospice.
