BURSON, Mrs. Dena E.
of Kalamazoo, Michigan Died Wednesday afternoon August 7, 2013. Dena was born June 5, 1924 in Kalamazoo, Michigan a daughter of Stillman and Gladys Davidson Grover. She had been a lifelong Kalamazoo area resident. Dena was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Harold R. Burson on April 18, 1977; a grandson, Justin Burson; and several brothers and sisters. She is survived by 3 children, Mike Burson of Portage, Gary Kathy Burson and Sue Dave Newhouse all of Vicksburg; 6 grandsons, Jason Jen Burson, Chad Lea Burson, Jamie Gina Attebury Burson, Matthew Kendall Newhouse, Kevin Newhouse, and Kyle Maegen Burson; 5 great-grandchildren, Ethan and Maddie, Kalyn and Kole, and Parker; 2 sisters, Shirley Bill Bauer of Lincoln, NE and Mary Dick Wertz of Colleyville, TX; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Services will be held 11 o'clock Monday from the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Westside Chapel, 3926 South 9th St. Visitation will be 4-7 pm Sunday at the chapel. Private interment will be in Mt. Ever-Rest Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the Michigan Diabetes Association or to Park Village Pines "Oakview Terrace". The family would also like to thank the caregivers at Oakview Terrace and her healthcare providers at Bronson Hospital 2 North EMCU for their loving care and support.
