FOSTER, Dell Duane
of Kalamazoo, Michigan Died June 18, 2014 at age 82. Dell was born October 10, 1931 in Beulah, ND to the late Donald and Elizabeth Schwartz Foster. Dell was united in marriage to Marilyn Darnell on October 1, 1977. Dell was a longtime member of the West Oshtemo Baptist Church. He served in the U.S. Army from August of 1949 until honorably discharged in December of 1952. He was proud to have served as a medic during the Korean War. Dell is survived by his wife, Marilyn Foster of Kalamazoo; daughter, Shelia Al Findley; step-children, Pam David Oldberg, Karen Walter Kaminski, Tim Paff and Susan DeSchot; grandchildren, Blake DeSchot, Nicole Findley, Shawn Laura Oldberg, Sarah Paff, Kari Kaminski, Walter Kaminski, Traci Ryan Berkebile and Amy Paff; and many great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a sister, Wynona Childers. A memorial service will take place Wednesday afternoon, 2:00 o'clock at West Oshtemo Baptist Church, 10460 W. KL Ave., Rev. John Hill officiating. Burial will be Wednesday morning, 10:30 at Ft. Custer National Cemetery; those wishing to attend should arrive at 10:15 in the family assembly area. Arrangements by the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Westside Chapel, 3926 S. 9th St. Memorials may be directed to the West Oshtemo Baptist Church choir.
