GEURINK, Delia Mae
Shelbyville, MI Delia Geurink, born April 22, 1925 in Allendale, MI, daughter of Lambert and Johanna Hurlings Kraker, passed away January 17, 2012 in Plainwell, MI. Delia was preceded in death by her parents and four siblings, Mildred, Janet, Alfred and Bernard. Cherished wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Delia was a dedicated and loving spirit who, throughout her lifetime, touched many lives and many hearts. In November of 1946, Delia married Gordon Geurink with whom she shared 65 years of marriage filled with family, ministry, and service. Especially remembered are the countless good times and pontoon boat rides on Gun Lake that Delia and Gord shared with a host of family and friends. Delia was a member of Calvary Community Christian Reformed Church. Surviving are husband, Gordon; three children, Allen Mary Geurink of Grand Rapids, Phyllis Geurink of Otsego and Doug Deb Geurink of Plainwell; three grandchildren, Mindy Kevin Holohan, Amy Cionnaith O'Dubhaigh and Brent Ruth Geurink; five great-grandchildren, Josie, Mary, Colin, Cian and Elsha; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Visitation will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday, January 21 at Martin Reformed Church, 1073 W. Allegan St. Services are to follow at 11:00 AM with Dr. Milton Doornbos, officiating. A private burial in Borculo Cemetery will be held later. Memorials should be directed to Forgotten Man Ministries or Kuyper College.
