Schoolcraft, MI Died Wednesday December 12, 2007. Debra was born October 9, 1953 in Kalamazoo, Michigan a daughter of George and Melinda Townsend Houghton. She had been a lifelong Kalamazoo area resident and was employed with Sanitor Manufacturing for 20 years. She was preceded in death by her parents; and a sister, Judy Crawford. She is survived by 2 children, Cally Shawn Matherly of Richland and Layle Scott Echols of Austin, TX; a granddaughter, Erica; a brother, Mitchell Margaret Houghton of Kalamazoo; 2 sisters, Anita Brown of Vicksburg and Candice Jones of Kalamazoo; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. A memorial service will be held 3 o'clock Monday from the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 622 S. Burdick St. Friends may meet the family one hour prior to the service at the chapel.
