WATSON, Deborah A. Klimaszewski
of Kalamazoo Died June 5, 2010 at home. She was born July 13, 1955 in Gross Umstadt, Germany to Major Michael P. and Ilse Purfuerst Klimaszewski. She was an avid skier and at the young age of 10 while residing in Alaska, she won first place in the downhill slalom. She was also an avid swimmer and while residing in Omaha, NE, she won many medals from 1966 - 1968 and won a silver medal in the Jr. Olympics in 1972 while living in Germany. Surviving Deborah are her children, Benjamin "Ben" Watson of Kalamazoo, Raymond "Ryan" Michelle Rittase Watson of Hartford, MI and Tracy Glenn, Jr. Hartford of Greensburg, IN; her mother; father of her children, Mark Watson; 2 brothers, Michael Klimaszewski, Jr. and Bernard "Bernie" Klimaszewski; many nieces and nephews; and a special friend, Rich Rebec. Preceding Deborah in death was her father. Family will greet friends on Saturday from 10-11:00 o'clock at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Westside Chapel, 3926 S. 9th Street, Kalamazoo, where a funeral mass will take place at 11:00 o'clock, Fr. James O'Leary officiating. Private interment will take place at Grand Prairie Cemetery. Memorials in Deborah's name may be directed to Alcoholics Anonymous or to the ASPCA. Please see
