Of Kalamazoo Deb passed away early Monday morning, March 23, 2009 at Bronson Methodist Hospital. She was born October 6, 1954 in Kalamazoo, the daughter of Charles and Beverly Dean Johnson. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend to many. Preceding her in death are her husband, Thomas Larson; her parents; 1 sister, Terri Johnson; and 1 step-grandson, Nate Williams. Surviving are her 2 daughters, Amanda and Melissa Johnson both of Kalamazoo; 3 grandchildren, James Jr., Joshua, and Joseph Cook; 2 step-daughters, Nickey Larson and Christy Williams both of Battle Creek; 4 step-grandchildren, Christina, Thomas, Allie Williams, and Jenna Beardsley; 2 brothers, Ken and Allen George both of Kalamazoo; 1 sister, Linda Dan Olinger of Mattawan; best friends, Liz Tebo of Ft. Wayne, IN, Brenda Austin of Comstock, and Tyler Stafford of Kalamazoo; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM on Thursday at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 936 Lake Street, with Msgr. Michael Hazard officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Ever-Rest Memorial Park. Friends may visit with the family from 5-8 PM on Wednesday at Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 622 S. Burdick Street. Memorial contributions may be directed to the family.
