Kalamazoo Passed away Monday, March 30, 2009. Dawn was born in Kalamazoo on August 20, 1979, the daughter of Rochelle Young and Ronald Williams and was a student at KVCC, studying for her welding certification. She loved Punk Rock music, motorcycle rides and was an avid reader. Dawn had a big heart, was sassy and a spitfire, but always made us laugh. Her survivors include her parents; her daughter, Sydney Starring; three sisters, Wendy Bill Whitmore, Emily Lentz and Amanda Lentz; her grandmother, Ruby Young of Three Oaks; a niece, Jasmine; two nephews, Dominic and Elijah; her life long friend, Brooke Steele; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Helen and Paul Williams. The family will receive friends at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 622 S. Burdick St., on Thursday from 5-8 PM. A gathering of her family and friends to remember her life will be held at the funeral home on Friday at 1:00 PM.
