Dawn J. (Swander) Fisher

Passed away Tuesday morning, August 29, 2023. Dawn was born February 20, 1957 in Kalamazoo the daughter of James and Barbara (Mitchell) Swander. Dawn graduated from Portage Central High school in 1975. Dawn worked at Liner Health Products and then on to Pfizer where she retired as a Logistic Operator in 2020. Dawn loved her family and friends. She was kind and compassionate, and very calm and patient with a wild fun side. She enjoyed gardening and all things beautiful, especially the color purple. Dawn looked forward to camping and fishing with her husband (Ron) and bonfires with friends and her family. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and supporting them in all their sports and activities and anything they were involved in. Dawn was an exceptional Mother, daughter, sister and Friend. She will be greatly missed.

On September 19, 1975 Dawn was united in marriage to her loving husband, Ronald Fisher, who preceded her in death on February 26, 2022. She was also preceded in death by her parents; brother, Jim Swander; and brothers-in-law, Scott Taylor and Rodney Fisher. She is survived by her children, Nickole (Tim) Johnson, Eric (Stephanie) Fisher; 3 grandchildren, Rylee and McKenna Johnson, Sloan Fisher; brother and sisters, David (Glenda) Swander, Sharon Rodimer, Deb Taylor; and several nieces and nephews. A memorial gathering will be held from 4:00-7:00pm on Friday, September 8 at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, 411 East Centre, Portage, MI 49002. Private interment will be at a later date.
