David Wesley Gibson

Passed away Monday morning, January 15, 2024, at his home in Portage, MI. David was born October 14, 1938, in Kansas City, MO the son of Phil and Thelma (Leuenberger) Gibson. He was a veteran and served in the U.S Army, National Guards. He attended Baker University where he was a disc jockey and a troublemaker and Kansas University. He was a member of Sigma Phi Epsilon and graduated from Los Angeles school of mortuary Science and Los Angeles College of Chiropractic. David was a much-loved Chiropractor in Costa Mesa, California for almost 50 years. He lived a very full life in Sunny California surrounded by his family, friends, fur babies and hobbies. He loved his car and motorcycle collections and all his friends and clubs that came with them. He raced his vintage Triumph motorcycle in the Pikes Peak hill climb multiple times until he was in his 70's.

On January 28, 1962, David was united in marriage to his loving wife of nearly 62 years, Michele (Hansen) Gibson who survives. Also surviving are his children David Gibson Jr, his wife Jennifer (Nord) Gibson, Kimberly (Gibson) Williams, her husband Pryce Williams, Debbie (Gibson) Stull, and her husband Adam Stull, Jeany (Lee) Gibson, and 11 grandchildren, Kori Gibson, Taylor (Gibson) Baker, Sam Gibson, Kailey, Miranda and Tristan Williams, Hunter, Tanner, and Savannah Stull, Dean Gibson, and his newest great-granddaughter Rowen Baker. He was preceded in death by his beloved youngest son, Todd Gibson. A celebration of his life will be held in California, (date TBD).
