SMITH, David R.
of Mattawan, MI Passed away November 3, 2009 at home. He was born September 14, 1954 in Kalamazoo, to Russell and Beatrice Furney Smith. David was married to the former Tina M. McLaughlin, who preceded him in death in 2008. Surviving David are his children, James Constance VanderBerg of Marcellus, Craig Valerie Smith, Joshua Sally Smith and Jennifer Kenneth Underwood all of Mattawan; 20 grandchildren; one great granddaughter; his father, Russell Charlotte Smith; brothers, Dan Barb Smith and Scott Kathy Smith; nephew, Nicholas Smith and; niece, Ashley Smith. Also preceding him in death was his mother, Beatrice. Family will greet friends on Friday from 6-8:00 o'clock at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Westside Chapel, 3926 South 9th Street. Graveside services will take place Saturday, 11:00 o'clock, at Maple Grove Cemetery in Mattawan, Rev. James Dyke, officiating.
