POTTER, David R.
Of Kalamazoo Passed away Friday evening, October 23, 2009. David was born September 27, 1934 in Melrose, MA the son of the late Chauncey and Flora Boyle Potter. He was employed with the Van Buren Intermediate School District for 23 years and also worked for a time with the Constance Brown Hearing Center and Billings Hospital in Chicago. David had been a member of the Westwood Baptist Church for 40 years and was currently a member of Oakwood Bible Church. On June 17, 1961 he was united in marriage to his loving wife, the former Claire Olson who survives. Also surviving are 3 children, Mark Michelle Potter of Cary, NC, Laurel David Northrop of Sturgis, MI, Lynnette Potter of Kalamazoo; 5 grandchildren, Joshua, Kelly, Caleb Northrop, Alyssa and Tyler Potter; a sister, Alorie John Rotondo of Eagan, MN; a niece, four nephews, and their children. A memorial service will be held 11:00 o'clock Friday at the Oakwood Bible Church, 4100 Oakland Drive, with Pastor Steve Johnson officiating. Friends may meet the family Friday from 10-11:00 prior to the service at church. Private family interment will be in Mt. Ever-Rest North Cemetery.
