David Newhouse

David Neal “Newy” Newhouse, age 62, of Portage, Michigan, passed away suddenly and unexpectedly on Monday, July 22, 2024. His departure has left us all in shock and disbelief. 

David was born on November 18, 1961, to the late David Neal and Penelope Darlene (James) Newhouse. He graduated from Mattawan High School. David's love for the outdoors was evident, but his greatest joy was with his family, especially his grandchildren. He was accomplished as a cross-country runner and received many achievements, ribbons, and medals. He also enjoyed fishing, hunting, golf, and bowling. 

David is survived by his significant other and true love, Debbie Ivany; his children, Kristine Newhouse, Zach (Kristin) Newhouse, Thomas Ivany, and Kimberly Ivany; and his grandchildren, Greyson, Genyvieve, Isabell, and Kourtney. He is also survived by one sister, Terri Aukerman, and one brother, Jeffery Newhouse; two nieces, Michelle Smith and Danielle Ladd; and one nephew, Rick (Kelly) Aukerman—several aunts, uncles, and cousins. David is survived by a man's best friend, Willbur. 

Visitation will be held from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Tuesday, July 30, 2024, at Langeland Family Funeral Homes Burial & Cremation Services, 411 East Centre Avenue, Portage, Michigan.
