David B. Flickinger

FLICKINGER, David B. Of Galesburg Passed away Monday morning, December 11, 2006. David was born October 13, 1959 in Kalamazoo the son of Byron and Bernadine Abel Flickinger and had been a lifelong resident in the greater Kalamazoo area. He was employed with Western Michigan University for 27 years and was a member of St. Catherine of Siena. David enjoyed spending time with his family, fishing, and building models. He was preceded in death by his father, Byron in 1999. He is survived by his mother, Bernadine Flickinger; brothers and sister, Thomas Sharon Flickinger, Robert Joan Flickinger, Katherine Flickinger; and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. The family would like to extend a special thanks to family friend, Matthew Rafferty. Services will be held 11:00 o?clock Friday at the St. Catherine of Siena Church, 1150 W. Centre, with Rev. Fr. Kevin Covert, Celebrant. Interment will follow in Mt. Ever-Rest Cemetery. Friends may meet the family Thursday evening from 6-8pm at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Portage Chapel, 411 E. Centre and Friday from 10:15-11:00 at the church. Memorials may be directed to the American Diabetes Association.
