Portage Passed away February 14, 2014 at age 72. David was born August 17, 1941 in Kalamazoo to the late George and Norine Johnson Bower. He was united in marriage to Marilyn D. Miller on October 27, 1961 for a loving 52 years together. David was employed with Eaton Corporation for 28 years as a Material Planner before retiring in 2001. He enjoyed spending time with his family. He also loved to fish and practice target shooting. He would spend countless hours on the computer and enjoyed his time with his friends over coffee and donuts. David is survived by his wife, Marilyn Bower; children, Darin Bower, Darcy George Campbell and Rhonda Jason Clark; grandchildren, Krystal Brian, Kayla, Matthew, Andrew and Alyssa; great grandchildren, Julianna, Lexi, Braydon, Kayden and baby James will join the rest of the family in May; and several nieces and nephews. He was also preceded in death by a grandson, Tyler. A memorial service will be held Friday, February 21st, from 2-4pm at New Day Community Church, 3600 Nichols Rd., Kalamazoo, MI 49004.
