Daurice C. Feliciano, age 73, passed away Sunday evening, January 7, 2018. She was welcomed into heaven by Jesus and reunited with loved ones. She was born in Utica, NY on May 23, 1944 to William and Edna (Bonville) Cusworth. She was raised and educated in the Utica area and attended many of the parochial schools, graduating from Utica Catholic Academy in 1962. Daurice had four sons. She was a stay-at-home mom until her kids were older. She then worked many jobs, primarily secretarial including: The Legal Aid Society, several banking institutions, Maranatha Christian Academy, Heritage Christian Academy, St. Joseph's Hospital and Borgess Hospital. Daurice was an avid reader, loved bowling, bingo and any and all card and board games. Many an enjoyable evening was spent, especially with family, playing marathon Monopoly, Michigan Rummy and a family favorite, "Marbles"!! She also spent many summers vacationing in the Old Forge area with family and friends. In 1978 she was married to her beloved husband, Peter Feliciano. They had 20 wonderful years together. Daurice was an active member in the churches she was part of. She was involved as treasurer, AWANA leader, led backyard Bible clubs and served on several committees. Daurice had many titles in her lifetime... daughter, sister, wife, mother, aunt, mother-in-law, grammy, great-grammy and friend. Those of us who have had the privilege of knowing her have been blessed. She has touched each of our lives. She will be missed! Daurice is survived by her four sons, Jim (Angela) Wessing of Mattawan, MI, Tom (Char) Wessing of North Chittenden, VT, Ed (Shanna) Wessing of Gilbert, AZ and Steve (Alicia) Wessing of Walworth, WI; 11 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; 2 sisters, Anne Theocharides of AZ, Mary Ilacqua of NY; 3 brothers, Bill (Diane) Cusworth of FL, John Cusworth of OR and Tom (Gina) Cusworth of NY; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Edna Cusworth and her husband, Peter Feliciano. A memorial celebration will be held in the spring and interment will be held in Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Whitesboro, NY. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of one's choice.
