Of Portage Darrin passed away unexpectedly, Thursday May 28, 2009. He was born March 16, 1971 in Kalamazoo. Surviving are his father, William Kenbeek of Mattawan; mother, Melanie Webster of Kalamazoo; 2 children, Ashtyn and Morgan Kenbeek both of Kalamazoo; 3 siblings, Dana Hebner of Portage, Dale Kenbeek of Kalamazoo and Laura Ed Powell of Kalamazoo; 4 nieces and nephews, Gavin and Grace Hebner and Brenna and Miyah Powell; and grandparents, Harriet Webster of Plainwell and Jake Kenbeek of Kalamazoo. Preceding him in death was a nephew, Christian Kenbeek. An open house to celebrate Darrin's life will begin at 2:00 PM on Saturday June 6, at the home of Laura and Ed Powell, 1103 Sheridan Drive, Kalamazoo. Private interment will be in Comstock Cemetery.
