Darrell D. Hammond

Passed away August 18, 2024, at Rose Arbor Hospice, Kalamazoo. Darrell was born on December 30, 1947, to the late, Donald and Doris (Loomis) Wilson, in Muskegon, Michigan. After graduating from high school, Darrel joined the United States Army to serve his nation proudly during the Vietnam War. After serving in the military, Darrell eventually ended up working for Checker Motors as a welder for much of his working life. In addition to work and family, Darrel also enjoyed spending time on the lake and in the woods, fishing and hunting, playing cribbage, and most of all, spending time with his friends. 

Surviving Darrell is his daughter, Barbara Verner; significant other, Patty Slagle; friend, James Boyett, and many other friends. Preceding him in passing is his wife, Shirley, and his parents.
