Daniel R. Farra

Daniel R. Farra, age 76, of Portage, Michigan and Green Valley, Arizona, passed away December 20, 2023. He was born June 17, 1947, in Grand Rapids, Michigan to the late George and Dorothy (Vinkemulder) Farra.

Daniel was a graduate of Michigan State University, where he was a member of the Phi Delta Theta fraternity, the likely origin of his love of Motown music. He loved to keep up with MSU sports and was named an honorary coach from his many years of dedication to supporting the teams. He was united in marriage to the former Pamela Caldwell at Park Congregational Church in Grand Rapids on December 12, 1970. Daniel was also an avid golfer and member of the Doghouse Golf League at States Golf Course.

Daniel was preceded in death by his parents and sisters, Kathy Farra and Debbie Farra-Tompkins.

He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Pamela Farra; daughter, Kristen (Jon) Rollins; son, Steve Farra; nieces, Heather Farra and Melissa Greene; and nephew, Shawn Tompkins.

A memorial gathering will take place Friday, June 21, 2024 from 3-7:00pm at Langeland Family Funeral Homes Burial and Cremation Services, 3926 S 9^th St, Kalamazoo, MI 49009.
