Dana Alfred Rench Sr

Rench Sr., Dana Alfred
of Oshtemo Twp., Michigan Passed away May 16, 2012 at Tendercare of Kalamazoo. Age 64 years. He was born August 10, 1947 in Marshall, MI, the son of the late Clyde R. and Ada M. Watson Rench. He served with the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He worked for the Department of Transportation. He loved spending time with his grandchildren. He liked trains and enjoyed fishing, yard work and spending time outdoors. Dana was married to Shirley Irene Olmstead Rench on August 25, 1969; she survives him. Also surviving are three children, Dana Lisa Rench Jr. of Detroit, MI, Adam Laura Rench of Oshtemo Twp. and Chad Rench of Oshtemo Twp.; 12 grandchildren; one brother, James Rench; one sister, Linda Rutherford; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Dana was preceded in death by a brother, Aldon Rench; and two sisters, Marcia Hall and Roberta Kilbourn. Friends may visit with the family from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. on Monday, May 21, 2012 at the Langeland Family Funeral Home, Westside Chapel, 3926 S. 9th St. Military graveside service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, May 22, 2012 at Ft. Custer National Cemetery, officiated by Chaplain Jeff Schmidt. Memorials may be made to Borgess Hospice.
