Dale Allen Terry

Dale Allen Terry (Zig-Zag), age 64, passed away peacefully in his home on January 25, 2024 with his Significant Other, Renee McCoy, and family by his side. He was born April 24, 1959, in Kalamazoo, Michigan to his parents James Lee and Edna Mae (Bushouse) Terry.

Dale attended school in Comstock, Michigan and held onto many lifelong friends from the days of roller skating and getting into teenage shenanigans with them. In 1983, Dale was united in marriage and had two beautiful children, whom he loved very much, with his then wife, Christine (Bresson) Terry. 

Dale’s good-natured personality and ability to bring people together was seen in everything he did. From working with Thunder Roads magazine to his presence at hundreds of benefit rides with his “brothers and sisters.” Dale loved to ride his motorcycle and was skilled in automotive work, body work and painting. He was quite artistic. He also loved to talk on his CB radio and go fishing with his close friend Marshall and many others. Dale was preceded in death by his parents and is survived by his daughters, Jessica Veld (James Cadwell) and Susan (Jesse) VanOrnam; grandchildren, Ian Veld and Zoey VanOrnam; brothers, Tom (Jille) Terry and James (Nancy) Terry; son-in-law, Terry Veld; as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends who have become family. 

Family will be holding a Celebration of Dale February 3, 2024 at 3:00pm. Please Join us at the Augusta Custer VFW, 13549 W M-96, Augusta, Michigan 49012.

A memorial motorcycle ride will be planned in Dale’s memory at a later date.
