Cynthia L. Strong

STRONG, Cynthia L. Kalamazoo Cindy passed away unexpectedly, Tuesday morning, July 31, 2007 at her home. She was born June 21, 1946 in Kalamazoo, the only child to the late William and Evelyn Wissink Wooden. Cindy was a teacher of elementary education for the Kalamazoo Public Schools since 1969, teaching mostly at King Westwood Elementary. She loved traveling, boating and taking pictures. Cindy loved God, her family and her friends at Westwood United Methodist Church, where she was a member. On August 1, 1970, she was united in marriage to David Strong, who survives. Also surviving are her three children, Matthew Strong of Kalamazoo, Adam Carrie Strong of Oshtemo, and Emily Strong of Kalamazoo; and two grand-dogs, Zeus and Kendall. Funeral services for Cindy will be at 11:00 AM on Saturday at Westwood United Methodist Church, 538 Nichols Road, with Rev. Dr. Wayne A. Price and Rev. Dr. Eric S. Beck officiating. Interment will follow in Grand Prairie Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM on Friday at Langeland Family Funeral Homes, 622 S. Burdick Street.
