DUNLAP, Mr. Curtis Claude "Curt"
Galesburg, MI Died Wednesday evening June 24, 2009 in Three Rivers, Michigan. Curt was born April 18, 1916 in Kalamazoo, Michigan a son of Claude and Effie Bogema Dunlap. During WWII, he served with the U.S. Navy for 8 years. Curt was a lifelong Kalamazoo area resident and was employed as a union carpenter for many years, a member of the Carpenter's Local # 525. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 67 years, Leanore J. Lambeck Dunlap on January 21, 2008; 2 sisters, Helen Dunlap and Dorothy Adams; and a brother, Donald Dunlap. He is survived by 2 daughters, Nellie David Buckhout of Vicksburg and Joan Frank Bowers of Kalamazoo; 3 grandchildren, Beth Buckhout of Holbrook, AZ, C.J. Allison Buckhout of Richland, and Darren Jackie Bowers of Galesburg; 5 great-grandchildren, Hayley, Stephen, Lindsay, Nolan, and Madison; a brother, Kenneth Dunlap of Galesburg; and many nieces and nephews. Services will be held 10 o'clock Monday at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Comstock Chapel, 6121 King Highway. Visitation will be 6-8pm Sunday. Interment will be in Oak Grove Cemetery.
