Corodon C. Lumbard

LUMBARD, Corodon C.
Portage Passed away July 18, 2008 at home surrounded by family. Corodon was born August 2, 1945 in Cardiff, Wales to the late James R. and Mary C. O'Brien Lumbard. On August 3, 1968, Corodon was united in marriage to Ellen Williams in Kalamazoo, who survives. Corodon proudly served in the U.S. Army as a medic, from November of 1965 until honorably discharged in November of 1967. He was a member of the National Rifle Association, as well as the Kalamazoo Rod and Gun Club, but loving his family, especially his grandchildren, came first. Also surviving Corodon are his daughters, Carrie Kevin McCann of South bend, IN, Dawn Dan Rolfe of Kalamazoo and Jill Josh Maschke Lumbard of Portage; grandchildren, Hunter Lum and Courtney Rolfe; brothers, James Joann Lumbard and Carl Dixie Lumbard; many nieces and nephews and; many loved in-laws from the Williams family. Preceding him in death was his sister, Jeanette Smeltzer. A visitation will take place on Monday, July 21st from 6-8:00PM at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Westside Chapel, 3926 S. 9th St., Kalamazoo. Graveside services will be held Tuesday, July 22nd at 2:00PM from the Mt. Ever-Rest Cemetery Chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to either the American Heart Association or American Cancer Society.
