BRUINING, Cora Jean
Of Jenison Went to be with her Lord, Saturday afternoon, April 13, 2013. Cora was born July 3, 1913 in Appingedam, Groningen, The Netherlands, the daughter of Hindrik and Anje Bieringa Hindriks. She was a member of the 12th Ave Christian Reformed Church and enjoyed having a good time. On October 8, 1935 Cora was united in marriage to her loving husband, Abraham Bruining, who preceded her in death on April 1, 1990. She was also preceded in death by a son, Jack Bruining; and grand-daughter, Betty Bruining. Surviving is her daughter-in-law, Joan Bruining; her sons, Henry Nancy Bruining of Holt, Bernard Grace Bruining of Hudsonville, Luke Dorothy Bruining, Martin Bruining all of California; 9 grand children, 12 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. The family would like to extend a special thank you to all the personnel at Brookcrest Christian Nursing Home and especially to the nurses and caregivers in "The Gardens". A service will be held at 12:00pm Thursday at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Westside Chapel, 3926 South 9th Street with Rev. James Evenhouse officiating. Friends may meet the family one hour prior to the service on Thursday. Interment will follow in Mt. Ever-Rest Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the Sunset Association Benevolence Fund, 725 Baldwin, Jenison, MI 49428.
