Kalamazoo, Michigan Loving daughter, mother, and grandmother, Connie Jacobus passed away, August 19, 2008. She was born December 2, 1938 in Kalamazoo, the only child of Cornelius and Florence Kniss Born. Preceding her in death were her father and granddaughter, Kristin Kay VanDyken. Surviving are her mother, Florence Stafford of Kalamazoo; 3 children, Herbert Candy VanDyken of Vicksburg; Debra Scott Heighton of Paw Paw, and Bo Lisa VanDyken of Kalamazoo; 5 wonderful grandchildren, Dustin and Clayton VanDyken, Katelyn Heighton, Brock and Brittany VanDyken; and several great-grandchildren and step-grandchildren. In accordance with her wishes, a small graveside remembrance for family and close friends will be at 11:00 AM on Wednesday at Riverside Cemetery, 1015 Gull Road, Kalamazoo.
