Kalamazoo Connie died Sunday morning, January 1, 2012, at her home. She was born March 18, 1946, in Kalamazoo, MI a daughter of Murray F. and Thelma I. Warren Sinkler and had been a life long area resident. Connie worked for Borgess Medical Center for many years, retiring in 2011. Connie was preceded in death by: her parents; a grandson, Michael Todd Sinkler; a sister, Beverly Starr and a brother, Robert Sinkler. Surviving are: a daughter, Kimberly Jeff Rowlett Sinkler of Kalamazoo; a son, Todd Sinkler of Kalamazoo; six grandchildren, Jamee Jacob Shadowens Sinkler, Austin, Aaron, Alex and Samantha Williams; a great-grandson Xyeke Shadowens and three other great-grandchildren; two sisters, Linda the late George Newnum and Dolly David Falls of Kalamazoo; two brothers, Donald Sinkler and Terry Sinkler of Kalamazoo; several nieces and nephews; and her special friend Bobby Williams. Services will be held 10:00 Saturday morning at Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 622 S. Burdick Street with Rev. Edward L. Davis of Church of God Family Worship Center, officiating. Entombment in Mount Ever Rest Memorial Park, North will follow services. Visitation will be held Friday from 2-4 & 6-8pm at the funeral home. Memorials should be directed to Kalamazoo County Child Abuse and Neglect Council.
