KANE, Connie
of Kalamazoo, Michigan Passed away Wednesday, March 26, 2014. Connie was born August 9, 1924 in Holland, MI, the daughter of the late Richard and Laida Bowmaster Overway. She was a Kalamazoo resident for many years and was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church. On March 4, 1944, she married John A. Kane, who preceded her in death on November 4, 1992. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Susan and a son, Michael. Connie is survived by her children, John A. Bridgett Kane of Big Rapids, Kathleen James Beneke of Richland, Timothy Mary Kane of Mattawan, Margaret Greg Muck of Gobles, Barbara Robert Muir of Kalamazoo and Patricia Doug Bushong of Plainwell; a daughter-in-law, Kathy Kane of Delton; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM, Saturday, March 29, 2014 in St. Joseph Catholic Church, 936 Lake St., with Rev. Msgr. Michael Hazard, celebrant. The family will receive friends at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 622 S. Burdick St. on Friday, March 28, from 5-8 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Bureau of Services for Blind Persons Training Center, 1541 Oakland Dr., Kalamazoo, MI 49008.
