Colleen K. Snyder

We are deeply sorry for our loss of Colleen Kay Snyder, aged 67, of Kalamazoo, Michigan, who passed away on Sunday, July 28, 2024, at her home. Colleen was a remarkable individual who touched the lives of many.

Colleen was born on March 3, 1957, to the late George Amos and Mary Amanda (Working) Knapp. After many years, she retired from the Kalamazoo Gazette. She loved white tigers, a variety of plants, a mixture of music, many knickknacks, and collecting candles.

Colleen is survived by her children, Amanda Scott, James Hall, Elise Marcinkowski, Michael (Melissa) Snyder, and Nicholas Snyder; grandchildren, Oriona Dickson, Niomi Reardon, Alex Hall, Halona Hall, James Hall, Jr., Antwain Marcinkowski, Xzavier Muncy, Zoey Ridenour, Skyler Ridenour, Alexia Snyder, Bentley Coulson, and great-grandson, King Reardon. Colleen is also survived by various other children she took in and cared for.

Colleen was preceded in death by her parents and sons, Donald Bruce Hall Jr. and Gerald Edward Marcinkowski III, son-in-law, Robert Scott V, and grandson, Mason Snyder. 

A celebration of life will be held at a date to be determined.

Memorials may be left in lieu of flowers to help with funeral expenses.
