GRAY, Mr. Clayton Jr.
Portage, MI Died Monday afternoon February 25, 2008. Clayton was born July 12, 1920 in Kalamazoo, Michigan a son of Samuel and Mary Archbold Gray. During WWII, he served with the U.S. Army as an instructor in ordinance. He had been a lifelong Kalamazoo area resident and was employed with National Water Lift for 35 years, retiring in 1985. He was also a member of Bethany Reformed Church and enjoyed golfing, fishing, hunting, and traveling. He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Allen Dale Gray; and 2 sisters, Yvonne Marunycz and Margaret Stenger. On December 13, 1941, he was united in marriage to Marjorie R. VanDyke Gray who survives. Also surviving, a son, Gary Allen Marlene Gray of West Palm Beach, FL; and several nieces and nephews. Private graveside services will be held in Mt. Ever-Rest Cemetery. There will be no visitation. Memorials may be directed to the Bethany Reformed Church or the Kalamazoo Gospel Mission.
