Formerly of Kalamazoo Clayton passed away January 10, 2011 at his home. He was born March 21, 1957 in Kalamazoo. He is survived by his loving parents, Clair and Corliss Hartford Belland; brother, Leroy; and sister, Judy, all of Kalamazoo; sister, Connie Martin Hart of Upperco, MD; one son, Corey Tonia Coleman of Springfield, MI; and three grandchildren. Clayton is also survived by an uncle, two aunts, three nieces, a nephew, and several cousins. Clayton graduated from Galesburg - Augusta High School in 1975. He served in the U.S. Navy as an electronic technician and earned an associate's degree in computer repair from the University of Houston. He worked many years as an instrumentation technician for various companies. An avid outdoorsman, Clayton loved to fish, hunt, and camp. One of his ambitions was to purchase land in the Upper Peninsula, build a log cabin and live there; he realized that dream. Everyone who had Clayton as a friend knew they had a true and loyal companion, and he will be greatly missed by all who knew him. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, May 21 at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Galesburg Chapel, 145 W. Battle Creek St. 343-1508 with the Rev. Jim Hughes officiating. Inurnment of cremated remains will follow at Roof North Climax Cemetery. Memorial contributions in Clayton's memory may be made to the charity of your choice.
