Harper, Claude J.
Galesburg, MI Died unexpectedly. Claude was born on December 24, 1959 in Kalamazoo, the son of Clifford and Barbara Cochran Harper. Claude grew up in Comstock and was a life long resident of the area. Prior to his last place of employment at a local greenhouse, Claude worked at Landscape Forms in Comstock for over 20 years. He loved the outdoors, camping, bonfires, biking, rafting, ice-fishing, playing his guitar and laughing. He was a man with a BIG heart! He is survived by 1 very special son Justin Harper of Galesburg; his parents Cliff and Barb Harper of Kalamazoo; 1 sister Karen Ron Harvath of Parchment; 1 brother Mark Debby Harper of Kalamazoo; 3 nephews, Josh and Jake Harper and Sean Harvath; and 3 nieces, Chelsie Harvath and Cierra and Cassidy Harper. Cremation has already taken place and a memorial service will be held in Claude's honor at Kalamazoo Missionary Church, 5045 E. Michigan Ave., on Saturday at 11:00 AM with Pastor Ken Smeader officiating. Friends may meet with the family beginning at 10:00 AM Saturday, at the church. Those wishing to make lasting gifts in Claude's name are asked to remember the Kalamazoo Gospel Mission or Kalamazoo Missionary Church.
