Clarence C. Merriam

MERRIAM, Mr. Clarence C. Kalamazoo, MI Died Monday morning April 2, 2007 at his residence. Clarence was born June 28, 1934 in Kalamazoo, Michigan a son of Vernon and Leeta Crosby Merriam. He had been a lifelong Kalamazoo area resident and was employed with Kalamazoo Township for 43 years, retiring in 1995. He was preceded in death by his parents; 2 sisters; and 7 brothers. On July 2, 1955, he was united in marriage to Mary Ellen Kiel Merriam who survives. Also surviving, 5 children, Charles Sue Merriam, Mark Merriam, Scott Vicky Merriam, Steve Merriam Linda, and Penny Pete Martin of Kalamazoo; 11 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; 3 brothers, Allen Ann Merriam of Vicksburg, Ken Martha Merriam of Paw Paw, and Jim Merriam of Galesburg; a sister, Sally Peace of Kalamazoo; an aunt; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Graveside services will be in Grand Prairie Cemetery. There will be no visitation.
