BRADY, Clare Climax, Michigan Passed away Wednesday, April 16, 2008. Clare was born December 29, 1924 in Middleville, a son of Raymond and Edna Sharp Brady and had lived in the Climax area since 1969. He had worked for Clark Equipment as an inspector for over 30 years, retiring in 1978 and had served his country during WW II in the United States Army. In his spare time, Clare remodeled houses and built over 12 houses in the Battle Creek area as well as a family cabin that he built in 1960 in the Upper Peninsula in Mc Millan, MI on Buckeye Lake. His passion was his 60 acres of land in Climax that he lived on and farmed. On April 23, 1949 he married the former Marie J. Hopkins, who preceded him in death on February 4, 2007. He was also preceded by a son, Raymond Brady and a sister, Ethel Haywood. Clare is survived by his children, Jayne Brady of Climax, Timothy Pamela Brady of Climax and Tom Deborah Brady of Fulton; grandchildren, Stephen Melissa Brady of Battle Creek; great grandchildren, Kaitlyn and Aiden Brady; 2 sisters, Nellie Stamm of Middleville and Opal Gerald Sifton of Woodland; his brother, Nelson Bobbie Brady of Jamieson, AL; nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted on Monday at 1:00 PM in the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Climax Chapel, 205 East Maple St. with Rev. Mike Brown officiating. Interment will follow in Ft. Custer National Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM. Memorial contributions may be directed to the VA Hospital in Battle Creek.
