GARNAAT, CHRISTOPHER
of Kalamazoo, Michigan Christopher Ronald Garnaat, age 22, passed away suddenly May 16, 2012 in Cadillac, Michigan. Chris was born August 11, 1989, in Kalamazoo, the son of Albert and Betty Kellogg Garnaat. He was a lifelong resident and graduate of Kalamazoo Central High School. Chris was an avid bicyclist, Red Wings fan, hockey player goalie and fisherman. He also enjoyed reading Stephen King novels, working on computers, playing X-BOX, competing in boxing; but the most important part of Chris' life was his family. Surviving are mother, Betty Wickstrom Nick Wickstrom of Brighton; his father, Albert Garnaat Lorie Morgan of Kalamazoo; two brothers, Nate Garnaat and wife Rachel of Kalamazoo and Jordan Garnaat of Brighton; step sister, Sara Morgan; along with many aunts, uncles, cousins and special friends. The family will receive friends on Sunday evening from 5-8pm at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 622 S. Burdick St. where a service to celebrate Chris' life will be held 11:00am Monday with Pastor David Armstrong officiating. Memorials in Chris' memory may be directed to his family to help with final expenses.
