Christie ''Grams'' Meyers

MEYERS, Christie ?Grams? Three Rivers Surrounded by her family and close friends, Chris went home to her Lord, after waging a courageous battle with cancer, on Nov. 23, 2006. Chris was born on Sept. 2, 1950 in Michigan City, IN. daughter of Kenny and Inez Wilgus, who preceded her in death. Chris graduated from Parchment High School and before her illness worked at Regional Medical Laboratories in Battle Creek and C & M Catering. Chris lived life to the fullest and enjoyed spending time with her beloved children, grandchildren and friends, spending time with her horse Tess, and attending her church, Lane Boulevard Church on the Move. Surviving are her 2 daughters, Cathy and Kevin Batten of Three Rivers, Jodie and Kenny Lollar of Buchanan, her son, Jim Meyers of Vicksburg; her 5 grandchildren, Taylor and Tanner Batten, Levi, Garret and Cody Lollar; one sister Maureen and Weldon Burden of Sawyer; several nieces and nephews; and best friends Carol Wolf of Portage and Lyn Roberts of Vicksburg. She was also preceded in death by her two sisters Dorrie Shelven and Joy Denny; and brother Dick Wilgus. Cremation has taken place per Chris's wishes. Memorial services will be conducted on Saturday at 2:00 PM in the Lane Blvd. Church on the Move, 805 Mills St., corner of Vine St., with Rev. Jim Dyke officiating. The family will receive friends at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Portage Chapel, 411 E. Centre Ave. on Friday from 4-7 PM.
