PARSONS, Chauncy D.
Of Portage Died June 29, 2013 at the age of 78. Chauncy was born June 5, 1935 in Vicksburg to the late Jonathan and Effie Huffman Parsons. Chauncy was united in marriage to Beverly Forsyth on May 3, 1958, who survives. Chauncy served in the US Army from January of 1955 until he was honorably discharged in January of 1963. Chauncy is survived by his wife, Beverly Parsons of Kalamazoo; his children, Rod Parsons of Key Largo, FL and Dan Jill Parsons of Allegan; 3 grandchildren, Christopher, Cory Amber and Alisa Dustin; 2 great grandchildren, Amalia and Levi; sister, Pat Bacon; and a great many nieces and nephews. Chauncy is also preceded in death by sisters, Sylvia Woodell, Mary Dubbeld, Addie Mason, Margaret Shook; brothers, Paul, George, Bill and John. A graveside service will be announced at a later date for burial at Ft. Custer National Cemetery. Arrangements by the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Portage Chapel, 411 East Centre Ave. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Schoolcraft Village Library.
