Charlotte M. Deemer

DEEMER, Charlotte M. Portage Passed away September 20, 2007 at Lakeview Hospital in Paw Paw, MI. Charlotte was born February 4, 1938 in Dayton, OH, the daughter of William and Mildred Swim and had lived in the Kalamazoo area for most of her life. Prior to her retirement, she was employed for 40 years at Peter Eckrich Meat Packing. Charlotte was an avid bowler in her younger years and was a member of the Portage/Schoolcraft Eagles Lodge. She was preceded in death by her parents and by her husband Dale on February 19, 2001. Surviving are a daughter Karen Duane Pillow of Paw Paw and a son Kenneth Deemer of Portage; 4 grandchildren, Justin, Eric and Alex Pillow and Troy Deemer; 2 brothers and 3 sisters, Millie Ray Brigance, William Doreen Swim, JoAnn Eaton, Sue Jack Weaver and Jack Swim; several nieces, nephews and cousins. Services will be held at 12 Noon Monday at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 622 S. Burdick St. with the Rev. Philip Steele, O.S.L. officiating. Interment in Riverside Cemetery. Friends may meet the family on Sunday from 2-5 pm at the funeral home. Memorial contributions in Charlotte?s memory may be made to Bronson Health Care Services.
