CHANNING, Charlotte M.
Of Kalamazoo Passed away May 11, 2010 at Bronson Hospital. Charlotte was born December 27, 1958, daughter of Donald and Dolores Hakalow Channing, and had lived in Kalamazoo since 1987. She was employed as a reporter, columnist and editor at the Kalamazoo Gazette for 22 years. Charlotte was an active member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church. On June 23, 1990, she was married to Larry R.Trent, who survives. Also surviving are her parents, Donald and Dolores Channing of West Bloomfield, MI; a step-son Andrew Kim Trent of Caledonia; a grandson Aidan Trent; her brother John Karen Channing of Brighton; aunts, uncles and cousins. Visitation will be on Friday, May 21 from 4-8 pm at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 622 S. Burdick St. A memorial service will be held at 11 am on Saturday, May 22 at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, 504 S. Westnedge Ave. with Pastor Kenneth Johnson officiating.
