Charles D Winkler

WINKLER, Mr. Charles D. Plainwell, MI Died Sunday morning October 15, 2006 at his residence. Charles was born March 5, 1949 in Iron Mountain, Michigan a son of Todd and Beverly Winkler. During the Vietnam Conflict he served with the U.S. Military. He had been a Kalamazoo area resident most of his life before moving to Mansfield, OH 13 years ago. He was employed with General Motors for 35 years. He was preceded in death by his father, Todd Winkler; and his father-in-law, Richard N. Lovett. On January 20, 1968, he was united in marriage to Sandra ?Sandy? Lovett Winkler who survives. Also surviving, 3 children, Charles Mary Winkler of Plainwell, and Kimberly Jeffrey Shafer and Thomas Winkler all of Portage; 7 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; his mother, Beverly Washburn of Detroit; and a brother, Donald Christa Washburn. Services will be held 12 noon Friday from the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 622 S. Burdick St. Visitation will be 2-4 and 6-8pm Thursday.
