Charles J. Till

Charles passed away Saturday, September 5, 2015 at the age of 83. He was born November 19, 1931 in Berrien Springs, MI to the late Robert and Hilda Gladys (Denham) Till. Charles was united in marriage to Marja Marie Wesp on August 28, 1954. He served in the U.S. Navy from July of 1949 until honorably discharged in April of 1953. He loved the outdoors including hunting, fishing and golfing. He spent many hunting seasons hunting deer in Wyoming. He loved animals especially all of his dogs. Charles is survived by his wife, Marja Till; children, Robert (Shari) Till and Paul (Linda) Till; 5 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; sisters, Jean (Marvin) Carpenter and Betty (John) Mayo; and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brother-in-law Floyd Wesp Jr. The family will greet friends on Thursday, September 10, 2015 from 6-8pm at Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Westside Chapel, 3926 S. 9th Street. A private graveside service will take place at Ft. Custer National Cemetery with military honors. In lieu of flowers, donations may be directed to Bronson Home Hospice Residence in Battle Creek, MI and the SPCA of Kalamazoo, MI.
