Chuck passed away suddenly Monday, May 9, 2016 in Kalamazoo. He was born August 11, 1943 in Morgan County, Alabama, the son of J.P. and Abigail (Merriman) Puckett. Chuck was a longtime Kalamazoo area resident and operated Chuck's Electrical Service and C & E Construction for over 40 years. He was a member of the First Reformed Church of Portage. Chuck is survived by his wife Evelyn J. (Oudekerk) Puckett; his children, C. Nathan Puckett, Ariana (Matt) Dolan, Ryan E. Puckett, & Robin (Darin) Shorrs; his grandchildren, Henry Dolan, Austin & Aubree Puckett, Cheyenne & Colby Shorrs; his brothers, George Puckett, Jack Puckett, Bill Puckett, & Jeff Holt; and his sisters, Martha Hall, Linda Johnson & Mary Pressley, along with numerous nieces & nephews. Chuck was a great friend and touched many lives throughout his years of business in the community. The family will receive friends from 11am to 1pm Saturday, May 14 at the First Reformed Church of Portage (7905 S. Westnedge Ave) where a service to celebrate Chuck's life will begin at 1pm with Pastor Clayton Smith officiating. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Charles E. Puckett Trust that has been set up in Chuck's name through Talmer Bank, 800 E. Milham Ave., Portage, MI 49002.
