Charles J. Mizikar

MIZIKAR, Charles Kalamazoo Passed away Thursday, May 17, 2007. He was born April 19, 1939 in Mammoth, PA the son of Charles and Hilda Mae Johnson Mizikar and had been a resident of the Kalamazoo area for 40 years. He had been employed by General Motors as a tool and die maker for 36 years. Charles was a member of St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church and loved traveling with his wife. He was preceded in death by his parents; and a sister, Judy Mizikar. He is survived by his wife, the former Bernadine Novitsky of Kalamazoo; their children, Janice Steve Rice of Portage, Mark Jill Mizikar of Marysville, OH, Jim Mizikar of Kalamazoo, Chuck Kathy Mizikar of Portage, Lisa Jeff Armstrong of Oak Ridge, NC and Matt Mizikar of Kalamazoo; 13 grandchildren. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday at 9:30 AM at St. Catherine of Siena, 1150 W. Centre Ave. with Rev. Fr. Kevin Covert, celebrant. Interment will follow in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Westside Chapel, 3926 S. 9th St. and at the church on Saturday beginning at 9:00AM. A Rosary will be recited on Friday at 7:00 PM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the American Cancer Society.
