Charles E. Klinkner

KLINKNER, Mr. Charles E. Portage, MI Died Saturday evening May 5, 2007 at his residence. Charles was born March 8, 1945 in Grand Rapids, Michigan a son of Edward and Alice Armock Klinkner. During the Vietnam Conflict he served with the U.S. Air Force. He had been a Kalamazoo area resident since 1968, coming from Grand Rapids. He was employed with several telecommunication companies for many years and most recently with S.P.S./Gee Communications. He was preceded in death by his parents; and a sister, Jackie. On August 2, 1969, he was united in marriage to Lauren A. Mercure Klinkner who survives. Also surviving, 2 sons, Matthew Klinkner of Portage and Andrew Renee Klinkner of Grand Rapids; a granddaughter, Maya; a brother, Richard Klinkner of Grand Rapids; 3 sisters, Helen Jack Allers, Carol Bill Spruitt, and Mariann Thomas DeGraaf-Spruitt all of Grand Rapids; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. A memorial service will be held 3 o?clock Wednesday from the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Portage Chapel, 411 E Centre Ave. Friends may meet the family 1-3pm Wednesday at the chapel. Private
burial will take place at a later date. Memorials may be directed to the West Michigan Cancer Center.
