Charles Donald Hull

Kalamazoo Passed away July 24, 2008 at Bronson Hospital. Charles was born April 18, 1919 in Constantine, MI, the son of Allen and Thrilby Norris Hull and had lived in Kalamazoo for the past 40 years. He served as a Ltjg in the U.S. Navy during World War II in the Pacific Theatre and was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars. He was employed in the Personnel Department at the Kirsch Company for 20 years; at Western Michigan University for 13 years and taught in the Coldwater Public School System for 4 years. Charles was preceded in death by a sister Dorothy Hotovy and by 2 brothers, Myron and Lyle Hull. On May 31, 1941, he was married to Mary Blasi, who survives. Also surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, Phillip and Judy Hull of Eaton Rapids, MI; 2 grandchildren Adrinne Wissner and Chelsea Hull; several nieces and nephews. There will be no visitation. A private family memorial gathering will be held. Private interment will be in the family plot in Constantine Cemetery. Memorial contributions in Charles's memory may be made to the American Cancer Society.
