Kalamazoo, MI Charles Edwin Foster, age 33, passed away Tuesday evening, November 12, 2013 and went home to be with his Lord. He was born on December 5, 1979 in Kalamazoo, MI a son of Peter and Vickie Kissinger Foster, Jr. and had been a lifelong area resident. Chuck was a member of Berean Baptist Church. The Lord blessed Chuck with musical talents and an out-going personality. He loved God and loved to praise Him through singing, playing the drums and the organ. Chuck was a member of the singing group "Witness" with his brother Marty and brother-in-law Johnny. Chuck was also a member of the acapella group "Not By Sight". Chuck talked openly with others about Christ and had the utmost respect for everyone. He also dearly loved his wife, sons and his large family. Chuck loved decorating for Christmas and as a freshman Chuck persuaded the dean of Moody Bible Institute to allow him to put Christmas lights in the school courtyard, a tradition that continued on after Chuck left the school. Chuck was preceded in death by his father on January 5, 2012. On December 3, 2005 Chuck married the former Stephanie Buiskool who survives. He is also survived by: two sons, Isaiah and Gabriel; mother and step-father Vickie & Dale Bennett of Portage; paternal grandparents, Peter M. & Lois Foster; maternal grandmother, Virginia Kissinger; siblings, Peter "Marty" Angie Foster, III of Portage, Angela D. Brent Simcox of Hudsonville and David M. Lacey Foster of Kalamazoo; mother-in-law, Linda Buiskool of Parchment; brothers- and sisters-in-law, Kimberly Pat Lem of Mattawan, Melanie Jim Miles of Parchment, Tonya Mark Comensoli of York, PA and Johnny Sherry Buiskool of Vicksburg; many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins; and countless friends. Private graveside services will be held on Friday morning. Chuck's family and friends will gather on Friday, November 15th from 2-4pm and 6-8pm at Berean Baptist Church, 7813 S. 12th Street to share memories of Chuck. A memorial service to celebrate Chuck's life will be held 11:00 Saturday morning at Berean Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers, memorials should be directed to a fund set up for Chuck's sons' Christian education. Please make checks payable to Stephanie Foster and list "educational fund" in the memo portion of your check. Arrangements were made by Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel 622 S. Burdick Street.
